About the Shoprider Cadiz
The Shoprider Cadiz (model S889SL) is a Class 3 road scooter. A high/low switch sets 4 mph for pavements or 8 mph for the road, and it has a full set of lights, indicators and hazard lights for road use. Its two 12V batteries give a stated range of up to 20 miles, and it carries riders up to 160kg (25 stone).
Full suspension and 33cm pneumatic tyres give a comfortable ride. The captain's seat locks in four swivel positions for getting on and off, and moves forwards, backwards and up and down. The arms adjust for width, and the tiller, with a delta handle, adjusts for angle.
It weighs 100kg and comes apart into five pieces for transport: front chassis, rear chassis, seat and the two batteries. Some pieces are heavy, so two people are best. It charges from an off-board charger.
