About the Jazzy Assist
The Jazzy Assist is a folding powerchair with a carbon fibre frame. It weighs 15.9 kg without its battery and takes users up to 136 kg (21 st 5 lb). Pride say it folds in 5 seconds, to 380 × 620 × 820 mm, and it rolls along like a suitcase when folded.
It has several driving aids built in. EZ-Pass is Pride's turning assist for tight spaces and doorways. There are two LiDAR motion sensors and a rear-view camera for reversing, and a large LCD controller. The Smart SOS system sends an emergency alert and includes tilt detection. A phone app gives remote control over Bluetooth, battery information, diagnostics and location tracking. It also has a USB charging port, speakers, front LED lights and a curved backrest.
It goes up to 4 mph (6 km/h), climbs slopes up to 7° and gets over obstacles up to 25 mm, so plan your route around dropped kerbs. It has two motors with rear-wheel drive, solid 7" front wheels and air-filled 10" rear wheels. The lithium battery is either the 10Ah, for up to 13.6 km (about 8.4 miles), or the larger 20Ah, for up to 27.2 km (16.9 miles): those are Pride's figures with a 100 kg rider, and each listing says which battery that chair has.
