Our own scale, in plain words
How we grade
The grade describes how a machine looks, so you can choose how much you care about cosmetics. Ask us what was done to any machine.
Showroom condition, like new
No visible wear. Refurbished machines are usually graded A.
Best if: you want it to look new.
Like new, a few minor cosmetic marks
Small marks you’d only notice up close. Nothing affecting use.
Best if: you want near-new for less.
Signs of use
Visible scuffs, scratches or seat wear consistent with regular use.
Best if: you want the most machine for the money.
Heavy use
Obvious cosmetic wear, possibly cracked panels. It still comes with our warranty.
Best if: looks don’t matter at all.
Ungradable — spares or repair
Sold as seen, without warranty. For trade buyers and the handy.
Best if: you can repair it yourself or need parts.
What was done to each machine
The grade is about how a machine looks. Where a listing says what our Diss workshop did to it, that's on its page; for any machine, ring us and we'll tell you. Where a machine's check results are recorded, they are on its page.
