How fast and how far does the Galaxy go?
Up to 8 mph, and the speed can be set lower. Van Os gives the range as up to 21 miles with 50Ah batteries or up to 31 miles with 73Ah batteries, measured in ideal conditions. The rider's weight, the weather, the road, hills and the batteries' condition all affect it.
What is the maximum user weight?
175 kg (27 st 7 lb), by Van Os's figure.
Does it have three wheels or four?
Either. Van Os made the Galaxy in a three-wheel version (139 cm long) and a four-wheel version (146 cm long). Van Os's UK pages give the same width, seat, speed, range and user weight for both.
How big and heavy is it?
65 cm wide and 139 or 146 cm long, by Van Os's figures. Van Os's 2016-2017 pages give the four-wheel as 132 kg with 11 cm of ground clearance; its UK pages gave 127 kg, depending on the model, and 13 cm.
Is it the same as the Galaxy II?
No. Van Os developed the Galaxy II later, from the Galaxy and the Galaxy Plus. The Galaxy II and Galaxy Plus are different scooters and are not covered here.
