The TGA Minimo Autofold is a small boot scooter that folds and unfolds itself when you press a button and then a foot pedal. It goes up to 4 mph and up to 10 miles on a charge (TGA's figure), and carries riders up to 115 kg (18 stone). Its lithium battery lifts out to charge. TGA's page gives its weight as 32 kg (its handbook says 27.5 kg).

Before you buy a used Minimo Autofold
How does the Minimo Autofold fold?
By itself. Fold the seat back down and the armrests back, switch it off, press the Autofold button on the handlebar, then press the foot pedal for about three seconds. It unfolds the same way. Folded, it stands on its front wheels and you move it by the handle at the back.
How fast and how far does it go?
Up to 4 mph, and up to 10 miles on a charge. That is TGA's figure; the rider's weight, hills, cold weather and an older battery all shorten it.
What is the maximum user weight?
115 kg (18 stone).
Will it go in my car, and how heavy is it?
TGA designed it to fold for a car boot. It folds to 84 × 54 × 47 cm, so check that against your boot. TGA's page gives the weight as 32 kg (its handbook says 27.5 kg). The seat lifts off and the battery lifts out, but TGA does not give the weight of each part.
How is it charged, and can I take it on a plane?
The lithium battery lifts out with its key, so you can charge it on the scooter or off it; a full charge takes 4 to 10 hours. TGA calls the battery airline compliant, and the scooter can be folded with the battery out, using the connection lead supplied with it new. Airlines set their own rules, so check with yours before you book.
