How heavy is the Q50 R Carbon Plus?
From 14.5 kg without its batteries, and each battery weighs 1.4 kg. It is QUICKIE's lightest carbon folding powerchair.
How far will it go?
Up to 12 km (about 7 miles) on one battery. The Plus comes with a second battery that rides on the chair as a back-up, so with both the range is up to 24 km (about 14 miles). The chair runs on one battery at a time; to switch to the back-up, you undo the battery box cover with a small crosshead screwdriver. These are the maker's figures, measured with new batteries; the rider's weight, hills, very hot or cold weather and older batteries all shorten it.

Can I take it on a plane?
Its lithium-ion batteries are approved by IATA for air travel (UN3171). Airlines set their own rules for battery-powered chairs, so check with yours before you book.
How fast does it go, and what can it climb?
Up to 6 km/h (3.7 mph), over kerbs up to 40 mm and up slopes of up to 6 degrees.
What is the maximum user weight?
136 kg.
