How fast and how far does the Reno Elite go?
Up to 4 mph, so it is a Class 2 chair for pavements. Roma gives the range as up to 12 miles (20 km); its product pages say 12.5 miles. The rider's weight, rough ground, cold weather and the state of the battery all shorten it.
What is the maximum user weight?
136 kg (21 st 5 lb).
Will it fit in a car?
It comes apart without tools into four pieces: seat, battery pack, front chassis and rear chassis. The heaviest is the rear chassis at 22 kg; the battery pack and front chassis are 14 kg each, and the seat 11 kg (standard) or 16.5 kg (captain). The whole chair weighs 61 to 62 kg with the standard seat, or 66.5 to 67 kg with the captain seat.
Can I stay in it in a vehicle?
Only the captain-seat chair (P325/CS), which Roma had crash tested, and only forward-facing with the right restraints at its tie-down points. Roma still advises moving to the vehicle's own seat where you can. Roma says the standard-seat chair should not be used as a seat in a vehicle.
How is it charged?
With a 2 amp off-board charger that plugs into the joystick or into the battery pack, so you can charge it on or off the chair. A full charge can take up to 8 hours; Roma says never to charge for more than 12 hours.
