Used Quantum Rehab 4Front
The Quantum 4Front is a front-wheel drive powerchair for indoors and out, the first front-wheel drive chair in Quantum's rehab range. Its suspension is built to smooth out bumps, it goes at up to 6 mph and it carries up to 136 kg. Each chair was built to order for its first user, so the seat and powered features vary from chair to chair. It is the original 4Front, not the later 4Front 2.

Before you buy a used 4Front
How fast does the 4Front go, and how far?
Up to 6 mph. Quantum's spec sheet gives a range of up to 16.34 miles on the standard batteries, or up to 14.3 miles on the smaller optional ones. Those are the maker's figures: the user's weight, hills, cold weather and older batteries all shorten it.
What is the maximum user weight?
136 kg (21 st 5 lb).
Will it fit round my home?
The base is 616 mm wide and 1014 mm long without its front riggings, and it turns within 622.5 mm.
What can it climb?
Obstacles up to 85 mm, going up or down, and slopes up to 7.5 degrees. Its lowest point is 48 mm off the ground, at the anti-tip wheels.
Can it go in a car?
Not in a car boot: the base alone weighs 63.5 kg, and each standard battery about 23.36 kg. It has four tie-down points for securing it in a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
