Before you buy a used Jazzy Carbon Ultra-Lite

How heavy is the Jazzy Carbon Ultra Lite?

14.5 kg without its battery. Pride call it their lightest powerchair. The battery lifts out separately.

How far will it go?

Up to 9 miles (about 14.5 km) with the 10Ah battery, or up to 20 km (about 12.4 miles) with the 20Ah (Pride's UK page says 18 miles). These are the maker's figures; the rider's weight, hills and the weather all shorten it.

Why does each listing look different?

It comes with either the 10Ah or the larger 20Ah battery, which changes how far it goes. Each listing says which battery that chair has, and its range.

How small does it fold?

One lever folds it to 620 mm long, 340 mm wide and 800 mm high, small enough for most car boots.

Can I take it on a plane?

Pride say its lithium battery is safe for air travel. Airlines set their own rules for battery-powered chairs, so check with yours before you book.

How fast does it go, and who can use it?

Up to 4 mph (6 km/h), indoors and on pavements. The owner's manual rates it for users up to 125 kg (Pride's UK page says 136 kg).
