How fast does the Fusion E go?
It came with a 4 mph or a 6 mph motor package. The 6 mph chairs have lights and indicators. A 4 mph chair is a Class 2 chair; a 6 mph chair is faster than 4 mph, so it counts as Class 3. The owner's manual says the Fusion E is for footpaths and crossing roads, and not to drive it on the road.
How far will it go on a charge?
The owner's manual gives 20 km (12.4 miles) with 40Ah batteries. Quantum's specification and sell sheets give up to 15.7 miles (25.2 km) with 50Ah batteries, and its web page up to 15 miles. The manual says a user over 120 kg, hills, rough ground, very hot or cold weather, worn tyres and older batteries all shorten it.
What is the maximum user weight?
150 kg (23 st 6 lb).
Can it travel in a vehicle?
Quantum's owner's manual says it has passed the ISO 7176-19 crash test with four-point tie-downs, and that moving to the vehicle's own seat is still the safest way to travel. The chair weighs 86 kg without its batteries; for transport the backrest folds down and the legrests lift off without tools.
Is it the same as the Pride Fusion?
No. The Pride Fusion is an older chair from Pride's Jazzy range, with a 136 kg user weight. The Fusion E is a different chair.
