How fast and how far does the Colt Sport go?
Up to 8 mph (12.9 km/h), which makes it a Class 3 road vehicle. Pride gives a range of up to 26.8 km (16.65 miles), measured at the maximum user weight; its 2012 sheet says this was with 50Ah batteries. Pride says range varies with the rider's weight, the ground, the batteries' size, charge and condition, and the tyres.
What is the maximum user weight?
158.75 kg (24 st 13 lb). Pride gives it as 25 stone.
Can it be taken apart to go in a car?
It comes apart without tools into the seat, the front and rear sections, the batteries, the battery shroud and the basket. The heaviest piece is 29.5 kg (the front section) on Pride's older papers and 29.75 kg on its 2024 sheet, and each battery is 11 to 16.5 kg. Pride says some pieces are heavy and you may need help to lift them.
What kerbs and slopes can it manage?
Pride gives a maximum obstacle of 50 mm (2 inches), a maximum slope of 6 degrees and a ground clearance of 57 mm at the motor.
Are all Colt Sports the same?
No. Earlier ones have a delta tiller, a high-back fold-flat seat and solid tyres. The newer version has a DX tiller with LED headlights, a memory-foam seat on a suspension seat post, and pneumatic or solid tyres. Pride's size, speed and user-weight figures are the same for both.
