Before you buy a used Apex Rapid

How far will the Apex Rapid go on a charge?

It depends on the batteries. Pride gives up to 5.5 miles (8.75 km) with the standard 12Ah batteries and up to 10.5 miles (17 km) with the optional 18Ah. Pride says range varies with the rider's weight, the ground, and the batteries' charge and condition. Each listing says which batteries that scooter has.

How heavy is it to lift into a car?

It comes apart without tools into the seat, the battery pack and the front and rear sections. The heaviest piece is the front section at 17.75 kg, and the battery pack is 9 kg (12Ah) or 14 kg (18Ah). Without batteries the whole scooter weighs 41 kg.

What is the maximum user weight?

136 kg (21 st 6 lb).

Does it have suspension?

Yes. It has Pride's Comfort-Trac Suspension at the front and the back, which Pride says absorbs bumps and uneven surfaces. Pride gives a ground clearance of 36 mm at the motor, a maximum slope of 6 degrees and a maximum obstacle of 50 mm.

How fast does it go?

Up to 4 mph (6.4 km/h). Pride lists it as a pavement scooter.

Why does each listing look different?

Apex Rapids came with either the standard 12Ah batteries or the larger 18Ah batteries, and the range depends on which. Each listing says which batteries that scooter has.
