Before you buy a used Vantage

How fast and how far does the Vantage go?

Up to 4 mph, and a dial on the tiller sets it slower. With the 22Ah lead-acid batteries One Rehab gives up to 16 miles (26 km). With the 34Ah lithium battery the 2024 manual gives up to 32 km (19.8 miles) and Komfi-Rider's page up to 25 miles. Rider weight and the ground shorten these.

What is the maximum user weight?

170 kg (26 st). The 2024 manual's chart says the heavier the rider, the gentler the slope: 0° at 170 kg, 2° at 135 kg, 4° at 80 kg and 6° at 52 kg. One Rehab's spec sheets and 2021 manual say 12°.

Will it go in my car?

It comes apart without tools into five pieces: the basket, the front section, the rear section, the seat and the battery box. The heaviest piece weighs 18 kg. The battery box weighs 14 kg (lead-acid) or 6 kg (lithium). Check the pieces against your boot and your lifting before you buy.

What is the difference between the Vantage and the Lithium Vantage?

The battery. The Vantage has two 12 V 22Ah lead-acid batteries in a 14 kg box. The Lithium Vantage has one 24 V 34Ah lithium battery in a 6 kg box, which makes the scooter 8 to 10 kg lighter (63 kg against 53 or 55 kg, by One Rehab's figures) and, by Komfi-Rider's figures, lets it go further.

How is it charged?

With an off-board charger, plugged into the battery box or into the socket on the tiller. You can lift the battery box out and charge it indoors.
