Before you buy a used Xcite

How fast does the Xcite go?

Up to 8 mph on the road, so it is a Class 3 road scooter. A switch on the tiller sets it to 4 mph for pavements.

How far will it go on a charge?

It depends on the batteries. Motion gives up to 25 miles on the standard sealed lead-acid batteries and up to 45 miles on the lithium batteries of the Xcite Li.

What is the maximum user weight?

25 stone (158 kg). Motion's 2023 manual also gives it as 160 kg.

How big and heavy is it?

130 cm long, 63 cm wide and 122 cm high. It weighs 103.8 kg with lead-acid batteries or 86 kg with lithium. Motion gives no folded size or heaviest part for it.

What is the difference between the Xcite and the Xcite Li?

The batteries. The Xcite has two 50Ah sealed lead-acid batteries (up to 25 miles); the Xcite Li has two 50Ah lithium phosphate batteries (up to 45 miles) and weighs 86 kg instead of 103.8 kg. Motion gives the same speed, size, seat and user weight for both.
