How fast and how far does the Photon go?
Up to 4 mph, so it is a Class 2 chair. Motion gives a range of up to 12 miles on a charge, which varies with the battery's condition, the weather, the ground and the user's weight.
What is the maximum user weight?
23.5 stone (149 kg).
How heavy is it, and how small does it fold?
17 kg without the battery, and the heaviest part is 15.8 kg. With the 12Ah battery it weighs 19 kg. It folds to 35 cm long, 63 cm wide and 95 cm high.
How is it charged?
The lithium battery slides out from under the seat. You can charge it on the chair, through the socket under the joystick, or off the chair.
Can I take it on a plane?
Motion's first manual sets out the Civil Aviation Authority's rules: the battery comes out and goes in the cabin, and it must not be over 300 Wh. The Photon's battery is 288 Wh (12Ah) or 240 Wh (10Ah). Each airline sets its own rules, so check with yours before you book.
