Before you buy a used Aura

How fast and how far does the Aura go?

Up to 4 mph, so it is a Class 2 pavement scooter. Motion Healthcare gives a range of up to 21 miles; battery condition, weather, terrain and the rider's weight all affect it.

What is the maximum user weight?

22 stone. The seat is 45 cm wide.

Will it go in a car?

Motion Healthcare says it comes apart into five parts. The heaviest part is 15.5 kg and the battery 2.6 kg; the whole scooter weighs 43 kg.

How do I charge it?

Either on the scooter through its charging socket, or slide the battery out and charge it indoors.

Can I take it on a plane?

Not with its standard battery. Motion Healthcare's manual says the Aura's 27Ah (680.4 Wh) battery is too large for air travel.
