Before you buy a used Vivio

How fast and how far does the Vivio go?

Up to 4 mph (6.4 km/h), and up to 20 miles (32 km) on a charge. That is Kymco's figure; the rider's weight, hills, kerbs, cold weather and older batteries all shorten it.

What is the maximum user weight?

20 stone (about 127 kg). Kymco's spec table also gives it as 136 kg, so we go by the lower figure.

Will it go in a car?

Kymco say it dismantles and folds down to fit into most vehicles. It weighs 68 kg with its batteries, and Kymco does not give the weight of its heaviest part, so check that you, or a helper, can lift it in and out.

Can it go up kerbs?

A removable kerb climber came with it new, so check that a used chair still has it. Kymco does not say how high a kerb it climbs. It handles slopes up to 10 degrees.

Will it puncture?

No. Its front and rear tyres are puncture-proof.
