Before you buy a used Blazer 2
How fast does the Blazer 2 go, and how far?
Up to 10 km/h (6 mph). On its two 50Ah batteries, Karma's 2021 web pages and 2023 leaflet say up to 26 km (16 miles). Their current pages and manual say up to 27 km with VR2 controls or 30 km with LiNX. These are the maker's figures: hills, cold weather, the rider's weight and older batteries all shorten it.
What is the maximum user weight?
136 kg (21 st 5 lb).
What can it climb?
Obstacles up to 50 mm. Karma's manual says never to drive up, down or across a slope steeper than 6 degrees.
Can I travel in a vehicle sitting in it?
Only in the sling-seat version. It is crash tested to ISO 7176-19 for travelling seated, facing forward, in a suitable vehicle, on a chair with its transport loops. Karma still recommend moving to a vehicle seat where possible. Karma's manual says the captain-seat version has not been crash tested, so the user should move to a vehicle seat.
Is this the same as the first Karma Blazer?
No. The first Blazer (model KP-31) is a different chair with different figures. Ask us if you are not sure which one a chair is.
