Before you buy a used eFOLDi Lite

How fast and how far does the eFOLDi Lite go?

Up to 4 mph, and up to 10 miles (16 km) on a charge. That is eFOLDi's figure for normal, flat, dry conditions; eFOLDi says terrain and weather can shorten it.

What is the maximum user weight?

120 kg (about 18 st 12 lb). eFOLDi also gives it as 19 stone.

How heavy is it, and will it fit in my car?

14 kg without the battery and 16 kg with it (earlier Lites 15 kg and 17 kg). It folds to 70 × 55 × 37 cm, and the rear wheels come off at the press of a button to make it smaller still. Folded, it can be wheeled along like a suitcase.

How is it charged?

The lithium battery lifts out of the footrest to charge indoors, and a full charge takes up to 5 hours. Scooters made from May 2024 can also be charged on the scooter, through a socket on the steering column.

Can I take it on a plane?

eFOLDi says yes: the battery comes off and travels with you in the cabin, and the scooter goes in the hold. Each airline has its own rules, so check with yours before you book.
